The iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) Founded in 2007, IPPAWARDS has been celebrating the creativity of iPhone photographers since the iPhone first began to inspire, excite and engage users worldwide.

Every year since then, IPPAWARDS selects the very best shots among thousands of images submitted by iPhone photographers from more than 140 countries around the world.

iPhone is the device that revolutionized mobile phones and shook up the photography industry. Since then, smartphone cameras, including Apple’s iPhone, have become so advanced that even professional photographers use them.

Winners and finalists of these awards used a wide range of phone models such as the recent iPhone X to the older iPhone 5.

“iPhone users have become very fluent in visual storytelling” Kenan Aktulun, founder of IPPAWARDS, said in the press release. “This year’s photos were technically impressive and many of them were very personal.”

This year also thousands of people from more than 140 countries submitted their iPhone pictures to the annual iPhone Photography Awards.
Here’s a selection of the few winning entries.

The Grand Prize Photographer of the Year Award went to Jashim Salam, who submitted a photograph called “Displaced,” captured in Bangladesh.
