Most celebrities have worked hard to get where they’re today, and that is definitely the case of former wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock. Following a failed soccer career, he went on to become one of the best professional wrestlers of all times, and after retiring from the ring, he started an acting career that has made him one of the wealthiest men on the planet.
In accordance with the 2018 Forbes rich list, he was worth $124M in July of the year and this number is only increasing with every passing day. Unlike many other seriously wealthy people out there, Johnson has not forgotten where he came out, and he has made a point of utilizing his immense wealth to show his gratitude to his nearest and dearest.
One of those folks is Johnson’s long-term stunt double and cousin Tanoai Reed. He looks like his lost ‘twin’ brother for sure, he is the perfect stunt double for Johnson.
They’ve worked tirelessly together on several hit films. While Johnson could be, on the surface, the most important star in these movies, he is more than aware of the function Reed has played in his success, and he decided to share with his 11 million also Instagram followers the surprise that he gave him as a thank you. The 46 Year-old actor shared a brief video of him giving his 44 Year-old cousin the surprise, captioning it.
“Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating badass achieving several ‘Stuntman of the Year’ honors.”
The clip begins with Johnson pretending to interview Reed about their time working together. “Scorpion King was our first movie together,” Reed said before Johnson interrupted, saying, “When I saw him, I was like oh my god he looks like my twin.”
