Software engineers Jay Flatland and Paul Rose have built a machine that can solve the riddle using just webcams, a specially building turning platform and a computer algorithm.

They drilled holes into one square on each side of the cube so that it can fit into the custom-designed machine built mainly of parts from a 3D printer .

The Rubik’s Cube was placed into a specially made machine.Four webcams on each side of the cube are used to determine what moves need to be calculated.

And a computer algorithm coded by the brainy pair determines the different moves needed to complete the puzzle.
